WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has released the name of the man who died in a shooting in Southeast D.C. on Monday.
In an update, police identified the man as 23-year-old Jakele Allen of Northeast.
According to the police department, on Oct. 21, around 9:45 a.m., officers were called to 16th Street and Kentucky Avenue for a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found Allen with gunshot wounds, unconscious and not breathing.

Police said medics also responded and found no signs of life. He died at the scene.
At this time, a person has not been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Police said it offers a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
