Officers were called to the 7400 block of Old Landover Road at around 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 to probe a reported shooting, and further investigation led to the grisly discovery of Kesean Pollard’s body in the 7100 block.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the initial investigation, investigators are searching for multiple suspects who arrived at the initial scene and opened fire before fleeing in a vehicle.
No description of the suspects or vehicle has been provided.
The shooting is not believed to be random. Investigators are now working to establish a motive for the shooting.
Investigators made note that while the shooting was near a funeral home, it was not related in any way.
