Capitals Notebook: Sgarbossa Joins Mix As Lapierre Becomes Odd Man Out, Roy Making Progress

ARLINGTON, V.A. — After an off day following a tough loss in Tampa Bay, the Washington Capitals got back to work on Monday with a productive practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

There was a new face at practice, as Mike Sgarbossa joined the mix after being called up over the weekend.

Sgarbossa was given a simple message from head coach Spencer Carbery: to play his game and play hard, as he takes over as the third-line center amid struggles for Hendrix Lapierre to open the season.
