Person hospitalized with serious injuries after crash in DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. firefighters rescued a person who was trapped inside a vehicle following a crash on Tuesday morning.

DC Fire and EMS said that just after 5:15 a.m. on Nov. 19, firefighters were called to Bannekar Drive and Apple Road NE for a crash with a person trapped.

Water main break impacts homes, buildings, school in Northwest DC

The fire department said when crews arrived, they found the vehicle overturned with the driver stuck inside.

The rescue squad used special tools to remove the driver from the vehicle.

Officials said they were taken to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
