Man found shot inside Southeast DC home, police say

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened inside a residence in Southeast Wednesday evening.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the shooting happened at around 6:44 p.m. in a home in the 2600 block of Stanton Road. There, officers found a man with gunshot wounds.

He died there.

MPD’s homicide team is investigating the case.
