WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are mourning the sudden death of one of its K-9 officers.
On Thursday, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said K-9 Jerry passed away.

He had been serving on the force since 2017 with his handler as a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics canine.
“Officer Jerry’s service and impact won’t be forgotten,” MPD stated.
Jerry completed 187 deployments.
