Worker trapped after row house collapses in DC, fire officials say

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Several first responders in Washington, D.C. were on the scene in Northwest Monday morning after a row house collapsed, trapping a worker.

Details remain limited; however, in a post on X around 10:13 a.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department said crews were on the scene of a significant collapse in the 1100 block of V Street.

The fire department said the structure fell at the back of a two-story row house and a worker was “severely trapped.”

As of Monday morning, rescue operations were ongoing and crews were working to secure the area.
