Firefighter injured while battling house fire in Bowie

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD) said a firefighter was injured while on the scene of a house fire in Bowie.

The fire happened just before 8:30 a.m., at a house in the 2100 block of Bermondsey Drive, according to the fire department.

When firefighters arrived, they found the blaze on the second floor.

Officials said the fire was brought under control, but one firefighter was evaluated for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, as of Thursday morning.
