WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has identified the man that officers fatally shot on Tuesday evening in Northwest.
The man was identified as 29-year-old Surafel Zerihun.
On Feb. 18 at around 6:10 p.m., MPD said Zerihun was driving in the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue and then drove into oncoming traffic and struck a marked MPD cruiser.
