The fentanyl crisis has hit close to home for one Montgomery County teenager. So, he decided to film a documentary about how social media is making it easier for teens to acquire the deadly drug.
Dermott Foley, a student at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, submitted his documentary, Teens, Social Media, and the Fentanyl Overdose Crisis, to C-SPAN’s StudentCam competition.
C-SPAN announced recently that Foley is the grand prize winner, making him the first student in its 21-year history to win it twice. (Foley first won the grand prize in 2022 for a documentary he produced with his twin brother, Tyler.)…
