WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Four teenagers, whose ages range from 13 to 17-years-old, have been arrested and charged with robbery for allegedly snatching headphones off people in Northeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Officers responded to the reports of the headphone robberies a little before 6 p.m. on Wednesday along the Metropolitan Branch Trail. Police searched the area and used their helicopter, Falcon One, to locate the teens and place them under arrest.
The teens were arrested in connection to the following four offenses, according to MPD:
- At approximately 5:47 p.m., the suspects snatched headphones from the victim in the 100 block of Florida Avenue, Northeast.
- At approximately 5:53 p.m., the suspects snatched headphones from a victim at 200 block of R Street, Northeast.
- At approximately 5:55 p.m., the suspects snatched headphones from a victim in the 400 block of V Street, northeast.
- At approximately 5:56 p.m., the suspects snatched headphones from a victim in the 1800 block of 4th Street, Northeast.
