SILVER SPRING, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Hundreds of Pepco customers in downtown Silver Spring were in the dark Friday afternoon due to a power outage.
As of 12:33 p.m., over 1,400 customers were without service, according to the Pepco outage map.
Six Flags America, Hurricane Harbor in Prince George’s County closing
The map showed that outages were centralized around Georgia Avenue near Spring Street and Wayne Avenue.
Pepco told DC News Now that crews are currently on the scene and are assessing damages to its equipment.
