Man arrested in potentially hateful attack on food delivery biker in Northwest

WASHINGTON (7News) — A food delivery courier had his bike tires slashed and was chased by two knife-wielding suspects Saturday night on the 800 block of P Street, Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said the suspects made derogatory comments as they chased the victim, and Third District officers were able to arrest one of them.

Officials charged Pedro Sanmayoa-Garcia, 29, of no fixed address, with assault with a dangerous weapon, and authorities believe the attack was potentially motivated by hate or bias…
