Mother demands action after teen with special needs assaulted at Maryland high school

SPRINGDALE, Md. (7News) — Even with the video blurred to protect the identities of the juveniles involved, you can see this was not a fight. One student repeatedly punched another in the face after an initial hit thrown from behind without warning at C.H. Flowers High School in Springdale, Maryland.

Police now allege it was an assault, while the victim’s mother, speaking out only to 7News, said it was an attack.

“Like literally looking at the video, it was premeditated, they followed my son down the hallway and then attacked him,” the mother said on the condition of anonymity to protect her son. But she wants people to know what happened and what is happening inside high schools…
