Former DC mayor, city leaders to celebrate opening of new Bridge District

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Former D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams and other city leaders will join real-estate developer Redbrick LMD to celebrate the opening of the Bridge District at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.

The Bridge District is a 2.5 million square-foot destination that features residential, retail, recreation and innovation spaces. The first phase of the project will be unveiled at 11 a.m.

The new district is located near the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge and not far from Nationals Park in Ward 8.
