ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The last member of a 20-person dogfighting ring was sentenced Tuesday, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Charles Reginald McDougald, 55, of North Carolina, was sentenced to two years and three months in prison for his role in a dogfighting ring.

Court documents say, from March 2015 through December 2022, McDouglad and other members of the dogfighting group chat known as “The DMV Board” or “The Board” discussed training fighting dogs, arranging fights, sharing videos of the fights, and methods of killing dogs that lost.
