WASHINGTON (7News) — World Pride DC organizers are set to host a virtual town hall Thursday night to address health and safety preparations for the upcoming event. The town hall aims to provide a platform for attendees to ask questions and express concerns.
7News reported that World Pride and some of its affiliates have advised transgender individuals to consider skipping the event due to recent anti-trans legislation and rhetoric from top U.S. leaders. Additionally, there are concerns regarding immigration issues for non-U.S. citizens planning to attend.
