RIVERDALE, Md. — A lawsuit filed against Prince George’s County by the family of a 5-year-old who was hit and killed in a crosswalk outside Riverdale Elementary School was moving forward after a judge ruled that they could pursue a wrongful death claims.
Sky Sosa was one of two children killed in the November 2023 crash. The other child was 10-year-old Shalom Mbah. Sky’s father was also hit by the driver but was not killed.
The driver of the van, Olga Lugo Jimenez, has pled guilty to criminal charges from the crash. According to the State’s Attorney’s office, Lugo Jimenez drove community kids to school in the van but was not affiliated with Prince George’s County Board of Education…
