Man injured after car crashed, flipped on sidewalk near Farragut Square in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after a car crashed and flipped onto the sidewalk in D.C. early Wednesday morning.

Details about what led up to the crash remain limited; however, the DC Fire and EMS Department said it happened near the intersection of 17th Street and Connecticut Avenue NW, near Farragut Square.

When first responders arrived, they found the car overturned on its side with a man trapped inside.

Crews removed the man from the car, and he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
