WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is asking the public for information on a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Northwest D.C. on Sunday.
Officers responded to reports of a crash at 3:30 a.m. in the intersection of 7th Street and New York Avenue, NW.

An initial investigation determined a stolen white 2017 Infiniti QX60 was traveling northbound when it struck a moped. After the crash, the driver of the Infiniti ran away from the scene.
