Hyattsville man indicted for stabbing, threatening to kill 2 strangers on DC Metro bus

WASHINGTON (7News) — A Hyattsville man has been indicted for threatening to kill two strangers and stabbing one of them on a Metro bus in July 2024, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro and Chief Michael Anzallo of the Metro Transit Police Department announced.

According to the prosecution, Ankintola Olowofoyeku, 43, was aboard a 70 route bus near Georgia Avenue NW and Jefferson Street NW on July 21, 2024, when he began screaming at two strangers. Olowofoyeku demanded that they exit the bus. He allegedly threatened to kill the two victims while holding a knife behind his back, forcing them to retreat into a corner of the bus.
