More than 25,000 could lose Medicaid coverage under DC’s FY 2026 budget

WASHINGTON (7News) — Some Teachers have been vocal following the mayor’s budget presentation, saying that although there are no direct cuts on teachers, the cuts to programs that support their students outside the classroom will impact everything that happens inside.

“The draconian cuts this budget is making to basic services like Medicaid and the child tax credit are going to do real harm to families and students’ ability to succeed in school,” said Scott Goldstein.
