Metropolitan Police Seek Public Aid to Identify Suspect in K Street Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s help in tracking down a person of interest connected to a recent burglary incident in Northwest Washington. According to the department’s press release, on May 8, at around 6:30 p.m., officers were called to the 1400 block of K Street, Northwest, following a burglary report.

During the incident, an individual reportedly forced entry into a business, made off with various items, and left the premises undetected. Surveillance equipment in the area captured clear images and video of the person of interest. These visuals have since been disseminated to the public in the hope that someone can identify the suspected burglar.

Authorities have proactively circulated the footage, thinking that someone out there might recognize the featured individual. “Anyone who can identify this person of interest, or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411,” MPD’s statement urged the community.
