This is the city’s current solution to curbing disorderly youth congregating in Navy Yard. They have arrayed generator-powered lights around the green space. Unfortunately, for those living around the perimeter, we are subjected to eternal daylight. What’s next, speakers blasting heavy metal music?
I will add that the weekend nights the lights were turned off sometime between 1 and 2 am. The picture I sent was around 5 am Tuesday morning. I think they didn’t realize they shouldn’t activate them Monday night into Tuesday which caused them to be on all night. It may not show very well, but it is quite bright for the apartments that border it. “…
