PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — A disturbing incident unfolded in broad daylight outside a CVS pharmacy in Camp Springs, Maryland, on Friday morning. A man was shot and killed shortly after shaking hands with the suspect—an act that was captured on surveillance video and has left the community stunned.

The incident occurred on the sidewalk near the entrance of the CVS on Allentown Road, where two men were seen interacting calmly before the violence erupted. According to video footage obtained by News4, the suspect and the victim exchanged a handshake just moments before the suspect pulled a handgun from his backpack and opened fire.

Surveillance Footage Reveals Chilling Sequence

The surveillance footage shows the men standing near the front of the store. After a brief handshake, the suspect reaches into his backpack, pulls out a firearm, and immediately begins shooting. The victim collapses near the front door of the CVS.

In a harrowing moment, the gunman is seen standing over the victim and firing multiple shots at close range, ensuring the man’s death before fleeing. The suspect then grabs his backpack and runs toward Allentown Road.
