WASHINGTON (7News) — A solar storm impacting Earth may generate the northern lights over the DC area Sunday night. Mostly clear skies are forecast overnight, so you’ll want to get away from the city lights and look toward the north for the best view.
Haze from wildfire smoke continues to linger in the upper levels of the atmosphere, which may obstruct viewing in the region.
