DC teens charged with 9 armed carjackings, robbery; police seek other suspects

WASHINGTON (7News) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has arrested two 16-year-old boys involved in a robbery and multiple armed carjackings across D.C., authorities said.

The two young boys were arrested Tuesday and charged with the following incidents:

  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Friday, May 2, at approximately 11:05 a.m., near the intersection of 12th Street and Newton Street, Northeast
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Thursday, May 22, at approximately 12:40 a.m., in the 1700 block of 17th Street, Northwest
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Thursday, May 22, at approximately 2:40 a.m., in the 1700 block of Kalorama Road, Northwest
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Thursday, May 22, at approximately 10:20 p.m., in the 1000 block of Taussig Place, Northeast
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Friday, May 23, at approximately 12:38 a.m., in the 2000 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast
  • Robbery (Gun): On Friday, May 23, at approximately 2:10 p.m., in the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Friday, May 30, at approximately 10:00 p.m., near the intersection of Rhode Island Avenue and South Dakota Avenue, Northeast
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Saturday, May 31, at approximately 9:24 p.m., in the 3500 block of 12th Street, Northeast
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Saturday, May 31, at approximately 10:02 p.m., in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast
  • Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Saturday, May 31, at approximately 12:20 p.m., in the 200 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast

Police said they are still looking for two more suspects…
