Congratulations to Charles J. Colgan Sr. High School for winning three Cappies, the area’s prestigious high school theater awards. Colgan High’s theater program competed against other high school theater programs across Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland, earning top honors during the Cappies award ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
“Earning these awards is a nice validation of the caliber of work that our students put into every show,” said Lanny Warkentien, theater teacher and director at Colgan. “These are some of the hardest working and most talented students I have ever encountered and for others to see and acknowledge that is very rewarding.
