Police arrest man in double shooting at restaurant in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 20-year-old was charged in connection to a double shooting that broke out in a Southeast D.C. restaurant more than a month ago, police said on Tuesday.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said Antoine Lowery was charged in a shooting that killed 21-year-old Jacquise Zanders of Southeast D.C. and left another man hurt.

At around 5:10 p.m. on May 13, officers responded to a restaurant in the 4500 block of Benning Road SE for the report of a shooting. There, they found the two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
