WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man was charged Wednesday after allegedly stabbing a D.C. police officer in the head during an attempted theft, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.
Andre Zephyrin, 45, is facing charges of assault with intent to kill while armed and assault on a police officer while armed.

According to court documents, on June 24 at 8:31 a.m., officers received reports of a theft in progress at a CVS located in Northwest D.C.
