Amtrak continues to cancel trains in DC due to ‘equipment unavailable’

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — For the third day in a row, Amtrak has canceled trains in D.C. because of “equipment unavailability.”

On Wednesday, Amtrak announced Acela trains 2163 and 2190 were canceled. Both trains were scheduled to run between Boston and Washington, D.C.

Trains 66 and 151 were also canceled, stopping service between Roanoke and D.C. In a post on X, Amtrak said it was attempting to get a bus to transport passengers to their destinations between Roanoke and Union Station.
