DC man sentenced to 15 years for deadly drug deal

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a December 2023 drug deal that killed two people, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

Jevaughn Mark, 33, also known as “Ledo,” pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and 500 grams or more of cocaine, and felon in possession of a firearm. He is additionally ordered to serve five years of supervised release after his sentence.

According to court documents, from at least January 2021 through March 2024, Mark and his brother sold dangerous drugs throughout the District, including a “menu” of drugs for his clients. The USAO states the menu consisted of “raw pure” cocaine, cocaine, and ketamine.
