Following the fatal shooting in Southeast that claimed two lives, the Metropolitan Police Department has reported a second arrest. The incident, which unfolded on the 4200 block of 4th Street on the night of May 23, left Royell Walker, 16, and Jamar Jackson, 19, dead at the scene. A 14-year-old, also shot, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Sean McFadden, 23, of Southeast, DC, was captured on Wednesday, facing charges of First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated). Yesterday, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 19-year-old Royale McGlenn Jr. from Hyattsville, MD, according to the MPD’s official statement. Suffering from gunshot wounds, the victims were found by the Seventh District officers after they responded swiftly to a report, which tragically ended in the pronounced death of two individuals at the scene.
The ongoing investigation, spearheaded by the Major Case Squad, has not yet revealed a motive. The MPD urges anyone with information about the shootings to come forward while offering a significant reward. In the wake of the tragedy, the MPD statement proffers, “The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000, for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide in the District of Columbia.”…
