DC police address false claims of rise in missing person cases

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) issued a statement Saturday about misinformation circulating on social media about missing women.

MPD states that the posts allege a recent uptick in missing women from the District. Police emphasize that this claim is false.
