‘I’m just trying to get home’ :Metrobus riders navigate system-wide changes, new routes

WASHINGTON (7News) — Metro’s “Better Bus Network” is officially in action across the DMV. It’s the biggest overhaul to the system in 50 years, according to Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) officials.

Longtime Metrobus riders like 78-year-old Catherine Hawkins are flexing a new muscle, figuring out the new routes.

“All the buses have changed, it’s a nightmare out here,” Hawkins told 7News reporter Lianna Golden. “It’s hot out here, and I’m just trying to get home.”…
