WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was ordered to spend over five years in prison for stabbing someone during a fight over a hat in Chinatown last year, the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) announced Monday.
According to court documents, 32-year-old Tanade Warsame and another man agreed to a fist fight over a hat at around 7:15 p.m. on May 4, 2024. During the fight, the man said Warsame took a knife out of his pocket and stabbed him in the chest.
The man ran to nearby Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers for help. He reportedly held his shirt while saying, “he stabbed me for ten dollars.”…
