WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Investigators in D.C. are working to learn what led up to a shooting in Mount Vernon Square that left one person dead and two other hospitalized Monday night.
In a post on X around 11 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the shooting broke out in the 1200 block of 7th St. Northwest. This is near the Mt Vernon Square 7th Street Convention Center Metro Station.

Police said three people, a boy, a man and a woman, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
