Following a shooting incident during an armed robbery in Chinatown last month, the Metropolitan Police Department has announced an arrest. The crime took place at around 4:14 p.m. on May 24, near the intersection of 7th and H Street, Northwest. When officers arrived, they discovered evidence of a shooting, but no victim was present at the scene. The victim, however, was later found and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
According to a release from the Metropolitan Police Department, on June 29, a 25-year-old man named Kemoni Ware was arrested in connection with the incident. As a result of the investigation conducted by detectives, Ware has been charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).
