Mayor Bowser Announces Star-studded Fourth of July Concert in Washington DC Featuring Jeremih and The War and Treaty

As the city gears up for a spectacular Fourth of July celebration, Mayor Muriel Bowser invites the community to join in on a festive event that combines musical performances with patriotic fervor. The 3rd Annual Fourth of July in the District Concert promises an array of talent, including Grammy-nominated artists Jeremih and The War and Treaty. Adding to the diverse lineup are DC Vybe, DJ Quicksilva, and the US Air Force Band, capturing the dynamism of Washington, DC’s cultural scene. Taking to the stage, these performers aim to resonate with the local audience through their eclectic mix of sounds.

“If you are looking for good music, good company, and a fun way to spend the Fourth of July, then we want you to join us in Downtown DC,” Mayor Bowser stated, with her eyes on next year’s America250 celebration that aims to magnify Washington, DC’s joy, creativity, and talent on a national scale. The concert, slated to commence at 5 pm between 12th and 13th Streets NW on Pennsylvania Avenue, is open to the public free of charge, though seating adheres to a first-come, first-served basis.

The evening’s festivities also include the National Park Service’s Independence Day fireworks, viewable from the concert’s outdoor venue. Scheduled to begin at 9:09 pm, the pyrotechnics will light up the sky from both sides of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, enhancing the celebratory ambiance.
