Red Line service resumes following hours of delays after person was struck by train

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Metro’s Red Line experienced delays for several hours on Saturday after a trespasser was struck by a train at the Brookland station, according to Metrorail.

The delays were reported in both directions, and all trains had to temporarily bypass Brookland.

Shuttle services were requested as a result, and customers were directed to board routes D32 and D74 between the Brookland Station and Rhode Island Ave Station, or board route D34 to travel to the Takoma Station…
