Community holds vigil after two kids killed in DC in past few days

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Community members in Southeast D.C. held a vigil on Thursday night, calling for change and answers after two young people were killed in the District in the past week.

“On the 4th of July, I see my baby that morning,” Shanika Kelley said. “That evening I didn’t see her no more. She never came back home. She never returned to us. And whoever did this, please know that justice is going to be served.”
