DC police arrest man accused of pointing gun at victim before barricading in house

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police have arrested a man after an assault in the Southeast area on Wednesday, police said.

Around 1:45 a.m., on July 9, a man reportedly approached the victim in the 2900 block of Knox Place. After allegedly pointing a gun at the victim, the man fled the area, police said.

D.C. police responded and located the suspect nearby inside a house. After a barricade incident was declared, members of MPD’s Emergency Response Team reported to the scene.
