Mother of slain congressional intern says shooter took the life of a ‘gentle soul’

WASHINGTON (7News) — We now know much more about the congressional intern who was gunned down last week in Northwest Washington, which left two others wounded.

Police said 21-year-old Eric Tarpinian-Jachym was an innocent bystander, caught in the middle of a dispute he had nothing to do with. On Thursday, we spoke with Eric’s mother and older sister from their home in Massachusetts.

ā€œI’m just praying that they find his killer,” said Tamara Tarpinian-Jachym.
