Suspect in custody after armed barricade incident in Northeast DC, police say

WASHINGTON (7News) — A suspect is in custody after an armed barricade situation in D.C. on Saturday morning, police said.

Police were on the scene in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast, around 8:15 a.m., said a Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) spokesperson. That area is close to the intersection of H St. Northeast, 15th St Northeast, and Florida Avenue, Northeast.

The man was barricaded inside his car, and a weapon was recovered, said an MPD spokesperson in a statement to 7News…
