DC man accused of firing gun during dispute in Northeast arrested

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man is facing an assault charge after he allegedly shot at a man during a dispute in Northeast late last month.

Authorities charged Juwan Russell, 28, of Southwest with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun) in connection with the incident, which took place in the 1000 block of 16th St. NE. on June 25.

Double shooting injures 2 in Northeast DC

According to D.C. police, at around 4:40 p.m. that day, Russell fired a gun at a man during an argument before fleeing the area. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
