Dog breaks out of home, bites USPS mail carrier in Hyattsville; police say

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Hyattsville said a USPS mail carrier was injured after they were bitten by a dog on Saturday.

According to the Hyattsville Police Department, the incident took place on July 12 in the 5800 block of 35th Place, where a pinscher had broken out of a home and bit the mail carrier.

The carrier sustained a minor injury and refused medical treatment.
