Northeast DC apartment complex damaged by lightning strike

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — No one was hurt after a Northeast D.C. apartment building was damaged by a lightning strike Sunday, according to the DC Fire and EMS Department.

In a post to the X platform around 2:30 p.m., firefighters say crews responded to reports of a lightning strike in the 1900 block of 3rd Street NE.
