WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is continuing to investigate an apparent murder-suicide that left two people dead in Southeast D.C. over the weekend.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m., MPD was called to a home in the 4600 block of G Street SE after receiving reports of a shooting. Inside the foyer area, they found a man and a woman unconscious and not breathing.

Despite lifesaving efforts, they both succumbed to their gunshot injuries.
MPD noted that they believe 43-year-old Patrick Cockrell Jr. shot 38-year-old Tiffany Montgomery during a domestic dispute. Cockrell’s injuries seem to be self-inflicted…
