DC Weather: Cold front brings refreshing conditions Monday and break from humidity

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — It will be a refreshing and pleasant start to the workweek as a cold front brings drier and less humid air.

There are a few pre-dawn sprinkles, but those will clear out by morning.

After that, there will be plenty of sunshine and temperatures that reach the lower to mid-80s, accompanied by a gentle northwest breeze. This will mean a nearly perfect day for the opening rounds of the Mubadala Citi Open.

Tonight we’ll have one of the coolest nights we’ve seen in a while for July. Temperatures will be in the 60s, significantly below the average of 72 degrees for late July.

Humidity levels will also be noticeably lower, with dew points in the lower 60s, making the air feel less thick and sticky…
