WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man, wanted for his suspected involvement in a deadly shooting that happened in Southeast D.C. last year, was arrested by New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force authorities.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said on Friday that 36-year-old Kareem Thomas, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged with second-degree murder while armed.
The charges against him stem from a shooting that broke out just before 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2024. MPD said officers responded to the intersection of 16th Street and Kentucky Avenue SE that morning for reports of a shooting.
